Steve Strickland

Director Quality/operations Excellence at Allied Motion

Steve Strickland has extensive experience in the field of quality and operations excellence. Steve has held various roles in different companies throughout their career.

Starting in 1987, Steve worked as a Manufacturing/Quality Technician at Texas Instruments, where they were responsible for root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality systems data analysis and reporting. Steve achieved significant accomplishments in identifying and correcting failure modes in pc motherboards, leading to promotion and reassignment to a higher-level role.

In 1992, Steve joined TRW Automotive Inc. as a Supplier Quality Assurance Engineer. Steve utilized advanced planning tools and quality control techniques to ensure supplier quality and improve processes. Steve also supervised receiving inspection activities.

In 1999, Steve became the Quality Manager at Lexington Furniture Industries. Steve was responsible for improving overall plant quality and implementing corrective action methodologies. Through their efforts, customer return rates were significantly reduced.

In 2000, Steve worked as a Supplier Quality professional at Outboard Marine Corporation. Steve played a crucial role in improving supplier quality during a challenging product launch. Steve successfully transformed negative trending of supplied component rejection levels to positive trending.

Currently, Steve holds the position of Director Quality/Operations Excellence at Allied Motion Technologies Inc. Steve is responsible for quality management at the Dothan AL facility and provides quality support for other North American facilities. Additionally, they oversee supplier quality and development activities for multiple facilities.

Steve Strickland completed their Associate of Science (AS) degree in Electronics Engineering from Tri-Cities State Technical Institute from 1985 to 1987. Later, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Quality Management from Kennedy Western University, which they completed in 2001.
