Osman Ashai

Osman Ashai has a diverse work experience in various industries. Osman started their career at Ashoka in 2008, where they worked as an Engagement Manager. Osman collaborated with Ashoka entrepreneurs and multinational corporations to establish partnerships in emerging markets. Osman managed a pilot partnership between Microsoft and an Ashoka mobile entrepreneur in India, resulting in the development of a mobile app for training healthcare workers in rural India.

In 2012, Osman joined Verve Mobile as a Business Development Summer Associate. Osman played a key role in launching a new product, managing market research, revenue projections, competitor analysis, and customer outreach.

From 2013 to 2014, Osman worked at Bank of America Merrill Lynch as an Assistant Vice President, Technology Infrastructure Strategy. Osman supported the development and execution of a next-generation infrastructure platform, managed a $2 billion business case, and led a re-organization strategy for senior executives.

Since 2015, Osman has been serving as the President of Allied Power and Control. The company specializes in providing industrial electrical products for critical power facilities nationwide. Osman oversees the engineering, manufacturing, and supply of products, ensures unmatched customer service and technical knowledge, and manages a 35,000 square foot distribution facility equipped with the latest technology.

Osman Ashai has a diverse education history. In 2005, they began their undergraduate studies at Georgetown University where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) from the Walsh School of Foreign Service. Osman specialized in International Politics and Trans-State Actors during their time at Georgetown, completing their degree in 2008. After gaining their undergraduate education, Osman then enrolled in the University of Virginia Darden School of Business in 2011. Osman pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree and completed their studies in 2013.
