David Hill

David Hill is a seasoned journalist with extensive experience in local government reporting and news media. Since January 2011, David has served as a Local Democracy Reporter for Allied Press Limited, focusing on government-related topics in the North Canterbury region, including Waimakariri, Hurunui, and Kaikoura districts. Prior to this role, David contributed to journalism through various capacities, including interviewing, researching, and newspaper layout. David's career began at Allied Press Limited in 1998 before moving to Telecom New Zealand as a Customer Services Representative from November 2002 to January 2011. David holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Journalism from the University of Canterbury, complemented by a solid educational foundation from Waitaki Boys High School.
