Alex Beganie

Alex Beganie is an accomplished insurance executive with extensive experience in excess and environmental casualty underwriting. Currently serving as Senior Vice President and Head of E&S Primary Casualty at Sompo International since February 2023, Alex previously held multiple senior leadership roles at Allied World, including Senior Vice President and Head of E&S Excess Casualty. Earlier career includes positions at Argo Group US as Senior Underwriter and Assistant Vice President at Artex Risk Solutions, among others. Alex has a strong educational background with degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University in Business Management and several professional designations in insurance.
