Rebecca Altman

Rebecca Altman has a diverse and extensive work experience in the healthcare field. Rebecca currently serves as the Nurse Practitioner Team Lead at Allies for Health + Wellbeing, where they provide primary care and specialized services such as gender affirming hormone care and HIV/HCV/STI prevention and management. Their focus is on cervical and anal cancer screenings for PLWH and increasing PrEP services for specific populations.

Rebecca's previous roles include working as a Nurse Practitioner at Metro Community Health Center/Metro Family Practice from 2019-2022, at The Mazzoni Center from 2015-2019, at Family Practice and Counseling Network from 2013-2015, and at Planned Parenthood Southeastern Pennsylvania from 2011-2013. Rebecca also worked as a Nurse at University of Pennsylvania from 2009-2011 and at University of Pennsylvania Health System from 2009-2010.

Throughout their career, Rebecca has gained valuable experience and expertise in providing comprehensive healthcare services in various settings.

Rebecca Altman has a diverse education history. Rebecca completed their Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) at Chatham College from 2000 to 2003. In 2005-2006, they pursued a Master of Public Health (MPH) at the University of Pittsburgh. Continuing their education, they attended the University of Pennsylvania from 2007 to 2008 and obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Rebecca returned to the University of Pennsylvania for their Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) and focused on Women's Health Nurse Practitioner from 2010 to 2011 and Family Health Nurse Practitioner from 2011 to 2012. Additionally, they obtained a certification as a Credentialed HIV Provider from the American Academy of HIV Medicine in 2015.
