Carissa Tomlinson

Carissa Tomlinson, MLIS, currently serves as the Library Services and Patient Education Manager at Allina Health since May 2023, previously holding the position of Library Services Manager. Prior experience includes roles at the University of Minnesota Libraries from March 2019 to May 2023, where Carissa was the Director for Student Experience, Learning, & Accessibility and the Director for Physical Sciences and Engineering. Carissa also worked at Towson University from July 2008 to March 2019, taking on multiple librarian roles including Assistant University Librarian and Coordinator of Student Engagement & Outreach. Earlier positions include a Post-Graduate Library Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and the HillSearch Program Lead at the James J. Hill Reference Library. Carissa's educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Library and Information Science from Dominican University and a Bachelor’s degree in Women's Studies from the University of Minnesota.
