Krista D. Gens

Krista D. Gens, PharmD, BCPS, BCIDP, DPLA, currently serves as the System Antimicrobial Stewardship Program Manager at Allina Health, a position held since April 2023. Previously, Krista directed the PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency Program and served as the Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Coordinator at Abbott Northwestern Hospital from July 2015 to June 2024, where responsibilities included the coordination of antimicrobial stewardship programs across Allina Health's regional hospitals. Krista's experience also includes leading the PGY1 Pharmacy Practice Residency Program at North Memorial Health Care from July 2010 to July 2015, during which the program was successfully re-accredited and expanded. Additionally, Krista developed an antimicrobial stewardship program and precepted pharmacy residents and students. Earlier training included completing ASHP-accredited PGY1 and PGY2 residencies at Abbott Northwestern Hospital, focusing on antimicrobial stewardship. Krista holds a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from North Dakota State University and completed the ASHP Pharmacy Leadership Academy from 2014 to 2015.
