Michael E. Johnston

Michael E. Johnston, DM, FACHE, serves as President of Mercy/Unity Hospitals and President of the Southern Market at Allina Health since May 2021. Previously, Michael held the position of President and Chief Executive Officer at McLaren Caro Region Hospital and McLaren Thumb Region Hospital. Michael's prior experience includes serving as Vice President of Corporate Operations at Carolinas Healthcare System and Vice President of Network Development at Mercy Medical Center, North Iowa. Earlier in Michael's career, management roles were held at Camfil Farr and UGN, Inc. Michael E. Johnston holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership and Supervision from Purdue University, a Doctorate of Management in Organizational Leadership from the University of Phoenix, and an MBA in Business Administration from Thomas More University.
