Timothy Sielaff

Dr. Timothy Sielaff is the Senior Vice President of Specialty Care & Research and Chief Medical Officer at Allina Health. Timothy has been with Allina Health since January 2015, first as the Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President, and then as the President of Allina Integrated Medical Network (AIMN) from January 2019 to January 2020. Dr. Sielaff is a physician executive with over 25 years of experience in healthcare leadership and administration.

Under Dr. Sielaff's leadership, Allina Health's ACO delivered on Triple Aim outcomes through data driven value creation across Allina employed, independent specialty groups and the continuum of care. Timothy also led the creation of a multi-specialty medical group with revenues of over $1 billion, integrated top decile performing primary care with high-value specialty care to drive growth and efficiency. In addition, they created a novel clinical value structure which reliably produced value across ambulatory and inpatient sites of care, linked data driven improvement teams with operations and finance to drive budgeted clinical improvement savings of over $1 million per month.

As the Executive sponsor for system COVID-19 preparedness, Dr. Sielaff led all aspects of the creation of a continuum-based comprehensive clinical solutions in meeting Allina’s commitment to the community (including telehealth, hospital at home, escalated and shared physician staffing across sites and disciplines, clinical trial integration). Timothy has also served on various Board committees in

Timothy Sielaff has a PhD in Surgery from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Virginia Commonwealth University - Medical College of Virginia. Timothy also has a BS in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Timothy did their residency in General Surgery at the University of Minnesota Medical School, and their fellowship in Hepato-pancreatobiliary Surgery and Liver Transplantation at the University of Toronto. Timothy also has an MBA in Health Care from the University of St. Thomas. Timothy is certified by the Intermountain Healthcare Leadership Institute in Advanced Training Program (2010) and Harvard Law School Executive Education in Harvard Program on Negotiation (2019).
