Nicholas Bird

Nicholas Bird is the current CFO at Allocations. Prior to this, they were the President of Lumen Advisory & Finance from August 2012 to May 2021. In this role, they directed a team of accountants providing back-office services to tech and SaaS businesses across the U.S., while also managing bookkeeping and accounting processes for five software firms with $3+ million in revenues - including the largest client with $28 million in revenue. Nicholas also led financial coaching, modeling, budgeting, cash forecasting, client relationship management, and financial analysis.

Some of Nicholas' notable contributions include founding, scaling, and selling their previous business with a $2.4 million valuation; automating billing and accounting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy; establishing a unique project management workflow for the accounting team which improved customer support reply time; playing a primary role in the startup and growth of an e-commerce client with $10+ million in revenue in their final year; developing and implementing chart of account templates for several industries and corporate structures with standardized income statement templates - significantly reducing client setup and implementation time; designing and developing industry-specific dashboards with key metrics, trends, and KPIs for SaaS clients; achieving Xero Gold Partner Status for their previous company, exceeding 100 clients on the Xero platform; and managing several investment holding companies for wealthy clients, as well as streamlining financial reporting and accounting processes for a mid-size law firm.

Nicholas Bird has a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University and is certified from Gusto in People Advisor Certified, Institute of Internal Auditors in Certified Internal Auditor, Xero in Xero Certified Advisor, and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Certified Public Accountant.
