Fang Li

Co-Founder / Chief Scientific Officer at Allorion Therapeutics

Fang Li has a diverse work experience in the field of biomedical research. They co-founded Allorion Therapeutics in 2020 and currently serve as the Chief Scientific Officer. Prior to that, from 2017 to 2020, Fang Li worked as the Director of Translational and Computational Biology at Tango Therapeutics. They also worked at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) from 2009 to 2017, holding the role of Research Investigator and Lab Head. Before joining NIBR, Fang Li worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Pharmacogenomics at Mayo Clinic Colledge of Medicine from 2005 to 2009. During this time, they were involved in genome-wide association studies and conducted functional studies to understand the mechanisms of drug response in acute lymphoblastic leukemia.

Fang Li holds a Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from Tsinghua University. Subsequently, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Peking University. Lastly, Fang Li completed their education by earning a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical and Biological Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
