Yaoyu Chen has a diverse work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Starting with a role as a Research Assistant at The Jackson Laboratory from October 2005 to July 2008, Yaoyu gained valuable experience in laboratory research. Moving on, they joined the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) as a Presidential Postdoctoral Fellow from August 2011 to July 2014. This fellowship allowed Yaoyu to continue their research and develop expertise in the field.

In 2014, Yaoyu joined Incyte as an Investigator in Drug Discovery.
