Alicia Defrancesco

Alicia DeFrancesco's work experience includes roles at various organizations. Alicia is currently the Director, Chief of Staff, Office of the CEO at AlloVir, a position they have held since October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Associate Director, Commercial & New Product Development at AlloVir from November 2020 to October 2021. Alicia also has experience as a Consultant and Life Sciences Consultant at Putnam Associates from September 2017 to November 2020. Alicia began their career as a Graduate Research Assistant at Harvard University, where they conducted research on Staphylococcus aureus biofilm formation and served as a Teaching Fellow. Alicia has also worked as a Research and Innovation Fellow at the University of Venda, a Research Assistant at Tufts Medical Center, an Intern at Institut Pasteur, an REU Fellow at Ocean University of China, an Undergraduate Researcher at MIT, and as an Extern at the US Environmental Protection Agency. Their work has focused on various aspects of research, development, and project management in the fields of biotechnology, consulting, and academia.

Alicia DeFrancesco obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2008. Subsequently, they pursued their higher education at Harvard University, where they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology in 2017.
