Brandon Casto

District Partner at Allovue

Brandon Casto is currently the district partner at Allovue. Prior to this, they worked as a budget analyst for Chicago Public Schools from September 2019 to October 2021. In this role, they developed and analyzed the fiscal impact of school budget funding formulas for charter and contract schools, calculated tuition allocations, and analyzed the fiscal impact of district initiatives. Brandon also developed, managed, analyzed, and forecasted budget and finances for seven departments and aligned department budgets with their strategic goals. Additionally, Brandon analyzed charter school special education expenditures to improve funding models to meet student needs more accurately.

Before working as a budget analyst for Chicago Public Schools, Brandon interned at The BERC Group, Inc. from March 2019 to August 2019 where they conducted research on the Creative Advantage initiative in Seattle Public Schools and wrote a policy memo providing recommendations on how to increase diversity and equity in the arts. Brandon also conducted statistical analyses to predict outcomes on the Washington State Smarter Balanced mathematics exam and conducted interviews, focus groups, and observations for education research purposes in Seattle area schools. Brandon authored a literature review that examined college enrollment issues and strategies for improvement.

Brandon Casto received a Master of Education from the University of Washington in Education Policy and a Bachelor of Music from Wright State University in Music Education.

Brandon Casto reports to Cory Edmonds, VP, District Partnerships. They are on a team with Tyler Hall - District Partner, Amanda Flurry - District Partner, and Hana Halleen - District Partner.
