In addition, Kim represented the accounting org through a +160M Series C round, the launch of 4 affiliate entities, 3 new offices, 2 office relocations, a high-profile partnership with Ally Bank, and more. Furthermore, they managed financial compliance and regulatory reporting to state/federal agencies, warehouse lenders, equity investors, debt lenders, and more. Lastly, Kim authored the company's first complex accounting memos including derivative accounting and loan valuations. Prior to their work at Better.com, Kim worked as a risk assurance experienced associate at PwC from October 2016 to January 2018 where they consulted with emerging growth companies, preparing them for IPOs through their internal audit functions. Additionally, they worked with internal stakeholders (managers, controllers, CFOs) to transform and ready their control structures for SOX compliance. Kim began their career at PwC as a risk assurance intern in June 2015 and August 2015.

Hai Kim has a Master of Accountancy, Bachelor of Accountancy, and BS Business Administration (Economics) from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business.
