Pradeep Nair

Pradeep Nair has a strong background in protein engineering and scientific research. Pradeep currently holds the position of Lead Protein Engineer at Allozymes, where they have been working since February 2023. Prior to this, they held the role of Senior Scientist at Zymergen from January 2022 to October 2022, and Scientist III from June 2019 to January 2022. Pradeep also worked as a Scientist II at Novozymes from January 2016 to April 2019, and as a Scientist at Nanotech Biomachines, Inc. from September 2015 to January 2016. Before joining the industry, they gained valuable experience as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Genentech from September 2010 to August 2015. Pradeep's academic journey started with their role as a Graduate Student Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, where they worked from August 2004 to July 2010. Pradeep began their research career as an Undergraduate Student Researcher at the University of Virginia from 2002 to 2004. Prior to that, they worked as a Research Assistant at the United States Geological Survey from June 2001 to December 2001.

Pradeep Nair obtained their Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Virginia in 2004. During their undergraduate studies, they focused on Chemistry and Physics. Subsequently, they pursued their Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry at the University of California, Berkeley, from 2004 to 2010.
