Barry Newman

Barry started his career as NDT Technician, working with OCTG and Drilling Equipment with an Offshore Rentals Company, specializing in OCTG Drill Pipe, Bottom Hole Assembly, Handling Equipment, Casing and Tubing. He then moved on to well-known Lifting and Certification Company where he received training and specialization as Lifting Equipment Surveyor, specializing in LOLER, BSEN Standards, DNV Standards. His career continued through to Schlumberger where he worked as Senior Technician, taking care of MWD/LWD, Drilling Motors and Turbines. From 2001, Barry became a member of an Offshore Specialist Rope Access Inspection, Repair and Maintenance Company, specializing in Derrick API RP4G, DROPS, LOLER SI2307 Lifting Surveys, Piping Surveys, SPS Hull Gauging and Critical Connections for Class Societies such as ABS, DNV, BV AND Lloyds Register. He was then seconded to Qatar with a QA/QC company as QA/QC Field Contract Manager where he was responsible for the QA/QC for Qatar Shell Pearl GTL Projectassuring the reliability of vendor equipment and maintaining minimal NPT for the duration of Drilling Campaign. After that Barry became part of the IRM Services team as Project Manager and later Operations Manager. In 2015 he joined Allrig, where he fulfills the role of Regional Sales Manager.
