Ignatius Choong

Ignatius Choong is an experienced financial professional currently serving as the Head of Institutional Business Asia ex Japan and Head of Institutional Sales Korea and ASEAN at Allspring Global Investments since April 2021. Prior to this role, Ignatius held various significant positions at Wells Fargo, including Director of International Business - Asset Management from August 2013 to May 2023, and Group Chief Finance Officer for Asset Management from 1993 to 1997. Ignatius also served as a Board Director (Alternate) at Shanghai Commercial Bank HK from 1997 to 2018, and worked as a Senior Analyst at Wells Fargo in the late 1980s, focusing on options, securitization, and M&A models. Early in the career, Ignatius was an Industrial Engineer at Eastern Airlines, Inc. and holds an MBA from The University of Texas at Austin as well as a BS in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech.
