Howard Ball has over 30 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on clinical pharmacology and oncology. Howard has held key roles at various prestigious companies, including Astellas Pharma US, GSK, and Novartis. Ball is currently the Principal Consultant at Ball Pharma Consulting Group, LLC, where they utilize their expertise in drug development programs and preclinical lead compound selection.

Howard Ball completed their BSc in Pharmacology at the University of Bath in 1980. Howard then went on to earn a PhD in Pharmacology from the University of Strathclyde in 1983. Howard continued their education with postdoctoral fellowships in various fields including Biochemistry at The University of Freiburg from 1987 to 1988, Pharmacology at the DKFZ German Cancer Research Center in 1988-1989, and a fellowship at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine from 1984 to 1986. Howard also had an internship at the RAF Institute Aviation Medicine in 1978-1979.
