Madhu Garlanka

Madhu Garlanka has over 25 years of professional experience in the software industry. Madhu started their career in 1992 as a Developer at Healthcare Compare Corporation, where they were responsible for the creation and maintenance of claims processing and reporting systems. In 1995 they joined AT&T as a Consultant, leading an operations team of 15 systems administrators and DBAs to support several mission-critical applications. Madhu then moved to Aether Systems in 1999 as Manager. In 2001, they joined Freddie Mac as a Sr. Project Manager, directing the delivery of multiple software products with a team consisting of technical and management staff. In 2003, they joined Sprint Nextel as a Sr. Manager, IT eCommerce, where they implemented agile software development methodology for efficient, high quality custom web site builds. In 2008, they joined The Advisory Board Company as a Sr. Director, Implementation & Operations. In 2010, they became the CEO Software Products at Allwyn Corporation. In 2012, they founded Next Step Foundation. In 2020, they became a Member Of The Board Of Advisors for the MS Data Analytics Engineering Program at George Mason University - Volgenau School of Engineering. In 2023, they joined Chief as a Member, a private membership network focused on connecting and supporting women executive leaders.

Madhu Garlanka obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani between 1986 and 1990. Madhu then went on to receive an MS in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology in 1991-1992. Finally, they obtained an MBA in Business Administration from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business between 2011 and 2013.
