Carley Beckum has a diverse and extensive work history in the field of media and journalism. Carley began their career as a Staff Reporter at Columbia Missourian in 2013, followed by a role as a Digital Editor at Vox Magazine in 2014. Carley then worked at Pace Communications as an Editorial Intern for Southwest The Magazine, where they gained experience in conducting interviews, writing articles, fact-checking, and researching.

In 2015, Carley joined ALM as an Associate Editor for ProducersWeb, where they managed social media accounts, copy-edited content, and curated news from financial sources. Carley later became an Engagement Editor at ALM, taking on the responsibility of implementing social media strategies and aligning goals for the editorial department. Carley's role continued to advance within the company, as they became a Senior Engagement Editor, leading the company-wide social media strategy and training the editorial staff on best practices.

Carley most recently held the position of Director of Social Media for the Business & Finance Division at ALM, where they oversaw the integration of social media strategies across different departments. Their strong expertise in social media strategy and collaboration with non-editorial departments enabled their to effectively align goals and ensure a cohesive approach to social media across multiple platforms.

Carley Beckum has a Bachelor's degree in Magazine Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Carley has also obtained certifications in Live Streaming on LinkedIn in 2022 and in Strategic Thinking and Embracing Unexpected Change on LinkedIn in 2020.
