Hitoshi Watanabe

Hitoshi Watanabe has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Hitoshi is currently serving as the Director of the Corporate Planning Department at Medicaland, Ritsubi Group since 2022. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of the PhysIOL Business Unit and International Affairs at Beaver Visitec International Japan K.K. from 2020 to 2022.

From 2018 to 2020, Hitoshi held the position of General Manager in the Knowledge-bank Division at WAGO Co.,Ltd, where they were responsible for the Knowledge Bank Business Division. Hitoshi also served as the Director of Sales & Marketing at LDH farm Co. during this time.

Before joining WAGO Co.,Ltd, Hitoshi worked at Alcon, a Novartis company as the Director of Refractive Business Development in their Surgical Business Division from 2010 to 2018. Prior to that, they served as the Medical Marketing Manager in the Marketing Division at Allergan from 2000 to 2010.

Hitoshi began their career as a Medical Representative in the Pharmaceutical Sales Division at Abbott in 1992 and worked there until 2000. Hitoshi started their professional journey at Medical & Consultant Co., Ltd. in 1990 as a System Engineer in the System Consultant Division and worked there until 1992.

Hitoshi Watanabe obtained their Bachelor's Degree from Chubu University in the College of Engineering, where they studied from 1986 to 1990. Hitoshi then pursued their MBA in Global Business, specifically Keiei-Kanri-Shushi (Senmon-Shoku), at Meiji University's Graduate School of Global Business. Hitoshi attended the program from 2014 to 2016. In addition to their degrees, Watanabe holds various certifications, including one in medical device industry standard auditing obtained in January 2003, a medical information officer certification obtained in April 1999 from Senshin Corporation MR Certification Center, and an authorization for Type 1 motor vehicle operation obtained in October 1986.
