Joaquin Gutierrez

Joaquin Gutierrez is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in operations and general management across various industries. Currently serving as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Merchandise Officer at Almacenes SIMAN since June 2001, Joaquin oversees a purchasing team managing a diverse inventory of 240,000 active SKUs across 14 stores in Central America, leading a group of 12 managers and 100+ staff. Previous experience includes the role of General Manager for Franchises at Inditex, where Joaquin successfully launched and managed 17 stores across several countries. Earlier in the career, Joaquin held a sales manager position at Delta Air Lines, driving significant market share growth in El Salvador. Educational qualifications include an MBA in General Management from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Tecnológica de El Salvador.
