Santiago Martínez Mansilla

Santiago Martínez Mansilla has a diverse and extensive work experience in the water industry. Santiago started their career at Aguas de Barcelona, where they held various roles such as Field Engineer and Technical Office Manager. During their time at Veolia Water, they served as the Director of O&M Division & Industrial Outsourcing. At Abengoa Water, Santiago held several key positions including Managing Director and Head of Abengoa Water Concessions. Their responsibilities included the creation and management of operation and maintenance contracts for water treatment plants. Currently, Santiago is the Managing Director of Almar Water Solutions, where they oversee concessional contracts, urban water & wastewater services, and acquisitions of assets or companies globally. Almar Water Solutions specializes in water infrastructure development and acts as a developer, investor, and operator in the municipal and industrial water sectors.

Santiago Martínez Mansilla has a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, which they obtained from 1985 to 1991. Santiago also completed an Advanced Management Program in Business Administration and Management from IE Business School in 1997 to 1998. In 2012 to 2013, Santiago pursued an Advanced Management Program in Business Administration and Management from Loyola University-ESADE Business School, part of Esade. In 2015, they attended the Negotiation Master Class at Harvard Law School as part of the Program on Negotiation (PON).
