Marcelo Neira

Marcelo Neira, MD has over 20 years of experience in the medical field. Marcelo worked as a Physician in the Brazilian Army from 2002 to 2003 before transitioning to Hospital Quinta D'Or - Rede D'Or São Luiz as a Physician in 2007. Marcelo then advanced their career into medical affairs, serving as a Medical Affairs Manager in Galderma from 2016 to 2020, and later at MDHealth from 2020 to 2021. Currently, they hold the position of Global Dermatology Medical Lead at Almirall since 2022.

Dr. Marcelo Neira obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree from Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) in 2001. Marcelo then completed a Post Graduate Dermatology Residency Program at Prof. Rubem David Azulay Dermatology Institute from 2004 to 2006, leading to their Board Certification in Dermatology from the Brazilian Dermatology Society in 2006. Dr. Neira went on to specialize in Dermatology Surgery at FMABC Medical School from 2008 to 2009, followed by fellowships in Hair Transplantation and Mohs Micrographic Surgery at the same institution from 2008 to 2011. Marcelo also holds additional certifications in Design and Interpretation of Clinical Trials and Brazilian Dermatology Society Board Certification.
