Anna Balanov

Anna Balanov, Ph.D., is a distinguished Principal Scientist at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since February 2021, with extensive experience in pharmaceutical research and development. Previously, Anna held roles as Principal Researcher at Sunovion Pharmaceuticals, where troubleshooting in novel API synthesis was a key responsibility, as well as Research and Development Chemist at Ironwood Pharmaceuticals, focusing on scalable processes for drug molecules. Prior experience includes positions as Process Development Chemist at Merck (Cubist), where studies on b-lactam antibiotics were conducted, and as Research Chemist at Teva Pharmaceuticals, where Anna contributed to innovative patents.
