David E.i. Pyott

David Pyott is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Since September 2018, David has served as Chairman and Deputy Chairman of London Business School. In addition to these roles, David is the President of the Ophthalmology Foundation and a Board Member at Pliant Therapeutics, BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc., and Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. David's commitment to the field of ophthalmology is further demonstrated through positions as Trustee at Caltech, Advisory Board Member for the Foundation of American Academy of Ophthalmology, and Director of the Pan-American Association of Ophthalmology. David's educational background includes an MBA from London Business School, a Diploma in European and International Trade Law from the University of Amsterdam, and a Master of Arts with an Honorary Degree in Medicine from the University of Edinburgh. Additionally, David has been actively engaged in philanthropic efforts since 1998.
