Jihong Chen

Jihong Chen is an accomplished biostatistician with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Vice President and Head of Biostatistics at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since January 2015, following roles as Senior Director, Director, and Associate Director in the same department. Prior experience includes serving as Associate Director of Biostatistics at Astellas Pharma, where Jihong Chen was the global statistical lead for oncology compounds in Phase I-III development, and in various positions at Abbott Laboratories, providing statistical support for oncology clinical trials. Additionally, Jihong Chen was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Emory University, focusing on the application of statistical models for MRI image data analysis. Jihong Chen holds a Ph.D. in Statistics from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a BS in Biomedical Engineering from Tsinghua University.
