Nitender Goyal

Director Clinical Research at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals

Nitender Goyal is a Director of Clinical Research at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since December 2021 and serves as a Transplant Nephrologist and Assistant Professor at Tufts University School of Medicine since July 2016. Nitender led a multi-disciplinary team within the kidney transplant program, heightened referral and transplant volumes, and implemented outreach programs that targeted dialysis centers. A successful budget acquisition facilitated the expansion of infrastructure, including an HLA lab, which enhanced in-house transplant immunology capabilities. Nitender's previous roles include Transplant Nephrology Fellow at the University of Minnesota Medical Center, where skills in transplant immunology and program administration were developed, and Nephrology Fellow at Tufts Medical Center, mentoring medical students and achieving top decile exam scores. Early experiences include serving as an Internal Medicine Resident at Carney Hospital and conducting research at the John D. Dingell VA Medical Center, as well as an internship at Civil Hospital in India. Nitender holds an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an MBBS from B. J. Medical College.
