Paul Nioi

Paul Nioi currently serves as Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Aberdeen, focusing on enhancing innovation and commercialization within the Institute of Medical Sciences. With extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Paul Nioi has held key leadership positions at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since March 2018, including Senior Vice President of Research and previously Vice President of Discovery and Translational Research. Additionally, Paul Nioi is a Board Member of the Translational Medicine Advisory Board for the Rett Syndrome Research Trust. Prior roles include significant positions at Amgen and deCODE genetics, alongside foundational experience at Schering-Plough Research Institute. Paul Nioi holds a BSc in Pharmacology from The University of Edinburgh and a PhD in Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Dundee.
