Gene Carr

Gene Carr is a board member at ALO and the former Chief Innovation Officer at Patron Technology. Gene was also the CEO and founder of CultureFinder.com and the Executive Director of The Concordia Orchestra.

Carr has over 20 years of experience in the technology and marketing industries. Gene has a proven track record of success in growing companies and developing innovative products.

Carr founded Patron Technology in 2001 with the goal of revolutionizing the ticketing industry for arts, culture, and live events. Under their leadership, Patron Technology became a leading provider of ticketing, subscription, fundraising, e-mail marketing, and staff collaboration technology.

In 2018, Carr was appointed Chief Innovation Officer at Patron Technology. In this role, they were responsible for leading the company’s product development and innovation initiatives.

Carr is a passionate advocate for the arts and culture sector. Gene is a member of the Board of Directors for Arts & Business Council of New York and the New York City Arts Coalition.

Gene Carr received a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Columbia Business School in marketing. Gene also holds a Bachelor's Degree from Oberlin College in history, as well as a Bachelor of Music from Oberlin Conservatory in cello performance.
