Mike Borfitz is an experienced aviation professional with a robust background in regulatory issues, safety, and certification across various organizations. Currently serving as the ODA Administrator at Aloft AeroArchitects since September 2016, Mike is responsible for managing ODA unit activities and communicating with the FAA. As the Owner, CEO, and Chief DER of Borfitz Aero Solutions since January 2012, Mike specializes in Continued Operational Safety, rulemaking, and flight test management. Previous experience includes roles as a Quality Engineer and Manager of Safety and Certification at Aviation Partners Boeing, Program Manager at the FAA overseeing foreign type certification, and Associate Technical Fellow at Boeing focusing on regulatory affairs. Mike’s career began as an Aerospace Engineer at the FAA and encompassed various managerial positions, demonstrating a commitment to aviation safety and regulatory compliance. Mike holds a BS in Aeronautical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
