Senior Director, Technology Solutions and Security at ALOM

David Edwards has extensive work experience in the technology industry, spanning over 25 years. David is currently serving as the Senior Director of Technology Solutions and Security at ALOM since June 2021. Prior to this role, they worked at Microsoft from 2017 to 2021, holding positions such as Principal Software Engineering Manager and Principal Group Manager.

Before joining Microsoft, David worked at Ingram Micro as the Director of Information Systems Solutions from 2012 to 2017. In this role, they were responsible for various aspects of application development, business intelligence, and integration, and worked closely with customers to drive projects and improve support frameworks.

From 2010 to 2012, David served as the Director of Information Technology - Reverse Logistics & Repair at BrightPoint. David collaborated with business and technical teams to drive continuous improvement in supply chain solutions and ensure the reliability and integrity of software applications.

Earlier in their career, David held the position of Director of Application Development at Touchstone Wireless, LP from 2006 to 2010. David oversaw upgrade projects for system platforms and played a key role in the migration from VB.NET to C#. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior .NET Developer/Team Lead at Image 1 Wireless from 2004 to 2006.

David started their career at Office Depot in 2000 as a Customer Service Manager in the Technology department, where they worked until 2004. Prior to that, they held the role of Assistant Manager of Technology at Kinko's from 1995 to 2000. In this role, they managed technology services and systems, developed strategic partnerships, and provided consultation to businesses and customers.

David Edwards received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from East Tennessee State University. David pursued their degree from 2001 to 2004. In addition to their education, David also obtained several certifications. These include the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional from ISC2 and Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance, both obtained in 2011. David also earned the Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional (CSSLP) from (ISC)² in 2009.
