Kristina Valdez, MSW

Kristina Valdez, MSW has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and organizations. Kristina is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Along The Way, Inc, where they oversee employment agency services, social service agency functions, and child care agency operations. In this role, they focus on helping employers stabilize their workforce by assisting with talent acquisition and retention. Additionally, they provide holistic case management and resource coordination to working parents, removing barriers that prevent them from attending work, investing in their careers/education, and achieving their goals.

Prior to their current position, Kristina worked as the Executive Director at Along The Way, a non-profit organization that provides free in-home childcare to low-income single mothers during nights and weekends. Kristina played a crucial role in supporting women in their pursuit of increased financial stability and sustainability by granting them access to safe and nurturing child care services.

Before joining Along The Way, Kristina served as a CSWE Fellow at the Council on Social Work Education from 2019 to 2020. Kristina also held the position of MSW Student Representative on the NASW-PA Board of Directors from 2019 to 2020.

In terms of their earlier experiences, Kristina worked as a Program Evaluation Associate at Marywood University from 2017 to 2020. Prior to that, they were an Operations Manager at Imaginarium Galleries from 2013 to 2015. Kristina gained valuable experience as a Clinical Trial Manager at Penn Medicine, University of Pennsylvania Health System from 2007 to 2012. Additionally, Kristina worked as an Associate Director at SCORE! Educational Centers from 2005 to 2007, and as a Retail Store Manager at Imaginarium Galleries from 1998 to 2005.

Throughout their career, Kristina Valdez has showcased their expertise in various areas such as executive leadership, program evaluation, clinical trial management, and organizational operations. Their work experience demonstrates their commitment to social service, education, and supporting individuals in reaching their full potential.

Kristina Valdez holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree from Marywood University, which they obtained in the years 2017-2020. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and another Bachelor's degree in English, both from Penn State University between 2001 and 2005.

Additionally, Kristina Valdez has obtained a certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED from the American Tea in November 2020.
