Maurya Kerr (she/her)

Maurya Kerr is an accomplished choreographer, performer, and artistic director of tinypistol, with a rich background in dance and education. With experience as a dancer and educator for Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Maurya has contributed significantly to the arts community, serving as a senior faculty member in LINES Ballet's Education Programs. As a freelance proofreader, writer, and editor since 2011, Maurya has worked on marketing content and grant proposals for various organizations. Maurya holds an MFA in Dance from Hollins University, where the thesis explored the politics and poetics of wonder. Additionally, Maurya has studied poetry at The Writers Studio in San Francisco and taught creative writing workshops.
