David Zook possesses extensive experience in aviation, currently serving as a Check Airman and Captain for JetBlue Airways since April 2001. In the role of Assistant System Chief Pilot, David Zook provides corporate leadership for over 3,000 pilots across multiple crew bases in the continental United States. With additional expertise in pilot recruitment and as a member of the Professional Standards Committee for the Air Line Pilots Association since June 2020, David Zook also contributes as a Subject Matter Expert for the ALPA Training Committee focusing on ETOPS NAT/HLA. Prior to their current position, David Zook held captain and check airman roles at Trans States Airlines from November 1997 to April 2001. Educationally, David Zook holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business from Virginia Wesleyan University and an Associate Degree in Aviation from Hesston College.
