Monique Saugstad, Esq.

Monique Saugstad, Esq. has a diverse work experience in the field of compliance and legal counsel. Monique currently holds the role of Chief Compliance Officer at Alpaca since June 2023. Prior to that, from June 2020 to May 2023, they served as the Clearing Compliance Lead and General Counsel at Embed Financial Technologies Inc. From January 2017 to February 2020, Monique worked as the Chief Compliance Officer and AMLCO at Velox Clearing, LLC. Monique also held a similar position at Electronic Transaction Clearing, Inc. from April 2015 to December 2016. Monique's career started in 1999 at Prudential Securities as a Registered Associate. Monique then joined Finance 500 in June 2005 as a Compliance Officer, a position they held until April 2015.

Monique Saugstad, Esq. obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from UCLA in 2002. Following their undergraduate studies, they pursued a Juris Doctor degree in Law at the Western State College of Law, starting in 2002 and graduating in 2005.
