Roberto Carlos Reyes Fonseca is an experienced professional in the field of chemical engineering with a focus on equipment and process modeling, currently serving as the Equipment & Process Modelling Head in R&D at Alpek since March 2011. Responsibilities include applying kinetics, thermodynamics, and process simulation for optimization in the chemical industry, as well as leading CFD modeling efforts for bubble column reactors. Previous roles at Alpek involved research on fluid structure interaction and design using advanced computational fluid dynamics software. Additionally, Roberto served as a professor at Instituto Tecnológico de Minatitlán, teaching courses on transport phenomena, fluid mechanics, and reactor design. Roberto holds multiple degrees, including a Master's in Numerical Simulation and Fluid Mechanics from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and a Master’s in Chemical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Celaya. Further educational pursuits include project management certification from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
