Derek Samsom

Derek Samsom is an accomplished accounting professional with extensive experience in financial management and data science. Currently serving as the Director of Accounting at Alpen High Performance Products since October 2024, Derek previously held the position of Senior Cost Accountant at Charlotte's Web from October 2019 to October 2024, and served as Controller at Oregon's Wild Harvest from January 2015 to August 2019, where significant improvements were made to accounting practices. Derek also has a strong background in data science, having completed projects involving deep learning and predictive modeling during time at Springboard, with outcomes such as achieving 97% accuracy in classifying traffic sign images.
