Vanessa Caracoza currently serves as the President of ALPFA Philadelphia Chapter since January 2024 and has been the Deputy Executive Director of the Office of the City Commissioners in Philadelphia since April 2021. In this role, Vanessa leads strategic planning for the establishment of County Elections Offices and the expansion of mail-in ballot drop locations, focusing on enhancing equitable voting access and participation. Previous positions include the Director of Partnerships and Deputy Director of Partnerships for Philly Counts, as well as roles such as Coalition Manager and Operations Manager within the same initiative. Vanessa’s experience also includes serving as a Marketing and Social Media Consultant for Amplify Latinx, a Strategy Consultant for the City of Boston’s Mayor's Office for Immigrant Advancement, and Campaign Manager for State Representative Jeffrey Sánchez. Early career highlights feature positions as a Small Business Advisor and Regional Organizing Director, along with field organizing for Battleground Texas. Vanessa holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy from Arizona State University and completed coursework at the University of Pennsylvania in 2020.
