Nikolaos Kounadis

Nikolaos Kounadis has extensive work experience in the banking and finance industry. Nikolaos started their career in 2002 at Ernst & Young as a Consultant in Corporate Finance and M&As. In 2002, they also joined Hellenic Bank as an Associate/Analyst in Syndicated Loans & Corporate Finance.

From 2006 to 2013, Nikolaos worked at Eurobank EFG, where they held various roles including Senior Consultant in Strategy Wholesale Banking and Project Leader in Strategy Wholesale Banking, managing strategic projects for the bank's wholesale banking units. Nikolaos also served as the Head of Workout Sub-Division/Officer Workouts, successfully handling major workout accounts in Greece and overseeing organizational changes.

In 2014, Nikolaos joined Emirates Islamic as Associate Vice President in Strategy, eventually being promoted to Vice President in Strategy & Transformation and later becoming the Head of Strategy and Transformation. Nikolaos'sresponsibilities included the formation, alignment, and cascading of the bank's strategy, as well as leading the strategy and transformation team.

Since 2018, Nikolaos has been working at Alpha Bank. Nikolaos started as the Head of Strategic Initiatives, focusing on revenue and cost optimization. Nikolaos was also a member of the bank's COVID-19 response task force coordination team. Nikolaos then progressed to become the Director of HR Strategy and Rewards before assuming the role of Director of HR Strategy, Rewards & OE in 2022.

Nikolaos Kounadis completed their BSc in Business Administration at the University of Piraeus from 1993 to 2000. Nikolaos then pursued an MBA in Business Administration at Alliance Manchester Business School from 2000 to 2002. In 2018, they attended an executive education program on Driving Value Through Business Acumen at INSEAD. Nikolaos also obtained a CFA Charterholder certification from the CFA Institute.
