Spyros N. Filaretos

Spyros N. Filaretos was born in Athens in 1958. He studied Economics at the University of Manchester and at the University of Sussex. He joined the Bank in 1985. He was appointed Executive General Manager in 1997 and General Manager in 2005. From October 2009 to November 2020 he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO). In December 2020 he was appointed General Manager – Growth and Innovation. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Bank since 2005.
