Yann Lecun

Yann LeCun serves as the VP & Chief AI Scientist at Meta since December 2013, providing scientific and technical leadership for Facebook AI Research and crafting AI R&D strategy. Concurrently, Yann LeCun holds multiple professorships at New York University, including Silver Professor of Computer Science at the Courant Institute, and was the founding director of the NYU Center for Data Science. With a rich background in machine learning and AI, Yann LeCun co-founded Element Inc., focusing on biometric authentication technology, and previously engaged as co-founder and chief scientist at MuseAmi, developing innovative solutions in music production. Prior to these roles, Yann LeCun held research positions at NEC Research Institute and AT&T Labs Research, where contributions spanned machine learning, computer vision, and pattern recognition. Yann LeCun earned a PhD in Computer Science from Pierre and Marie Curie University and an Engineering Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from ESIEE Paris.
