Habtamu Ewnie has over 8 years of experience at Alpha International, where they have held various roles and currently serves as the Director of Finance, Risk & Governance. Habtamu also served as a Contract Accountant and Group Insurance Officer at EPRDF Embassy, a Management Accountant at Afritrack Angola Construction Civil Industrial Ltd, a Finance Officer at Save The Children Denmark, and an Audit Senior at Gethachew Kassaye Accountancy and Audit Firm. In these roles, they gained experience in insurance management, expenditure control, financial planning, and auditing.

Habtamu Ewnie's education history begins in 2003 with their enrollment in the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) program, where they obtained a Fellow of The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) designation in Accounting/Finance and Auditing by 2006. In 2004, Habtamu pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Accounting at Addis Ababa University, completing the program in 2008. In 2011, they attended ACCA again to earn a Diploma in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Most recently, in 2017, Habtamu attended the University of London for a Master of Science (MSc) in Professional Accountancy, specializing in the field of Professional Accountancy.
