Masood Bhatti is the Chief of Lab Operations - Industrial Pharmaceutical Lab at Alpha Laboratories. Masood has over fifteen years of experience in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries.
Bhatti started their career as a chemist and then moved into management, where they have held various positions including Chief Operating Officer. In this role, they were responsible for establishing a new Bioanalytical Lab and a new Phase 1 Research Clinical in Toronto. Masood designed the floor plan, built the infrastructure, wrote the SOPs, hired, and trained chemists, scientists. Masood also identified, ordered & purchased all laboratory equipment.
Bhatti has also developed and implemented plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the rapid growth objectives of the Laboratory. Masood has performed IQ, OQ, PQ of new laboratory equipments, wrote validation protocol and perform calibration of the instruments under the guidance of cGMP/GLP. In addition, they have developed and validated methods for the qualitative analysis of drug candidates and metabolites in biological matrix using LC/MS/MS Sciex API 4000.
Bhatti has led multiple client projects and overseen projects led by other senior staff members. Masood has also promoted development of creative new solutions for clients by bringing market needs and insights to the management team. Masood has supported an environment which encourages the continued striving to achieve client’s goals. In addition, they have lead the Laboratory services teams in the
Masood Bhatti received their Doctor of Philosophy in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Alberta.
They are on a team with Kuttimol Kurian - CFO, - - Director of Communications & Marketing, and Aracely Cruz - Director of People & Culture. Masood Bhatti reports to Gerard Kennedy, CEO.
