Jermy Yahya is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in surface mining and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Surface Mining Production Engineer at Alpha Metallurgical Resources since August 2016, Jermy previously held a production engineer position in the Virginia Surface Department at Alpha Natural Resources from June 2011 to August 2016, focusing on mine planning for surface and highwall mining. Earlier experiences include a production engineer role at Massey Energy, where Jermy also assisted with environmental compliance, and a project engineer position at Swope Construction, which involved construction layout surveys and project estimation. Jermy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering Technology from Bluefield State University, completed in 2007.
