Vice President Of Business Development at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor

John Cantelmo has extensive work experience in the semiconductor industry. John is currently serving as a Member of the Board of Advisors at AnDAPT since March 2021. Prior to this, they held the position of Vice President of Business Development at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor since February 2021. John also worked as the Director of Sales and Business Development at the same company starting from September 2015.

Before joining Alpha & Omega Semiconductor, John was the VP GM Connectivity at Exar Corporation from January 2013 to August 2015, where they had P/L responsibility for Exar's connectivity products. John was responsible for the sales growth of Serial interface products, UARTS, and Bridge products.

Earlier in their career, John served as the Vice President of Sales at SiTime from June 2011 to January 2013. John also worked as the Director of Sales for the Americas at SiTime from May 2010 to June 2011. During their tenure, they successfully doubled sales within the first 12 months by building out the North American sales channel, signing representatives, hiring regional managers, and bringing on board Arrow as a partner.

Prior to SiTime, John worked at Monolithic Power Systems as the Director of NA Sales from April 2004 to May 2010. John played a pivotal role in establishing and expanding the US sales network, generating $35M in revenue. John hired and managed a team of six Regional Sales Managers and six FAEs and successfully penetrated top-tier US electronic OEMs.

Earlier in their career, John worked at Linear Technology in various roles, including Strategic Marketing Manager, Field Sales Engineer, and Field Applications Engineer. John also had sales experience at Allego before joining Linear Technology.

John Cantelmo earned their MBA in International Business from UC Irvine between 1992 and 1994. Prior to that, they attended the University of Dayton, where they studied Electrical Engineering and obtained a BSEE degree.
