Efrat Shamgar

Efrat Shamgar has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several industries. Efrat is currently working at Alpha Omega as the VP of Quality & Regulatory Affairs, a position they took on in January 2022. Prior to this, they were the Quality & Regulatory Affairs Manager at the same company from July 2021 to December 2021.

Before joining Alpha Omega, Efrat worked at Medtronic as a Senior Regulatory Affairs Specialist from June 2020 to July 2021. During their time there, they were responsible for the registration processes of medical devices in various regulatory bodies such as the US FDA, PMDA Japan, CFDA, and CE Marking.

From 2017 to 2020, Efrat was employed at Physio-logic Ltd., where they held the role of Executive Program Manager and Management Member. Efrat was also an expert in QA & RA and had extensive experience in project management and quality management in the medical device industry.

Prior to Physio-logic Ltd., Efrat worked at MIS Implants Technologies Ltd. as the QA & RA Manager from December 2014 to November 2016. In this role, they managed the Quality and Regulatory Affairs Department and represented the company before relevant authorities.

Efrat's earlier work experience includes positions at Shibolet & Co. as an Adv. dedicated for RA aspects, The Levinson Law Firm as a Legal Intern for RA aspects, Haifa Chemicals as the Quality and Environmental Manager, Taro Pharmaceutical Industries as the Steroids Plant Manager, and Baran Group as a Process Engineer.

Overall, Efrat Shamgar has extensive experience in quality and regulatory affairs, project management, and engineering across various industries, particularly in the medical device sector.

Efrat Shamgar completed their Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc) degree in Chemical Engineering & Biotechnology at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev from 1991 to 1995. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Haifa from 2003 to 2004. Finally, they attended The Ono Law College from 2007 to 2010, where they obtained their Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree.
