Justin Olson

Justin Olson has worked in the field of data science since 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they worked as an Applied Science Biotechnology at the University of Wisconsin-Stout. From 2015 to 2019, they worked as a Research Intern at the Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, where they performed routine laboratory work and scientific experiments in a lab researching leukemia. Justin then moved to Ashley Furniture Industries, where they worked as a Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Analyst in Data Science, and Data Analyst. In their role as Data Analyst, they built and deployed predictive analytics models and developed descriptive data tools. In 2022, they began working as a Data Scientist at Alpha Theory.

Justin Olson completed a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Wisconsin-Stout in 2015. In 2019, they completed the Analytics Tools and Methods MicroMasters from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Justin also obtained four additional certifications: TensorFlow in Practice Specialization from deeplearning.ai in August 2020, a MicroMasters® Program in Analytics: Essential Tools and Methods from the Georgia Institute of Technology in May 2020, a Group 2 Social/Behavioral Research Investigators and Key Personnel certification from the CITI Program in May 2022, and a TensorFlow Developer Certificate from TensorFlow in September 2020.
