Prashant Budania

Prashant Budania is a Staff AI Research Engineer at AlphaSense since July 2018, specializing in Generative AI and Large Language Models. Previous roles at AlphaSense include Tech Lead for Algorithms & NLP and Senior AI Research Engineer, where Prashant led research projects focused on Deep Learning and Natural Language Processing with an emphasis on Model Interpretability, Language Modeling, and Information Discovery. Notable projects include Sentiment Analysis, Named Entity Recognition, and the AlphaSense Language Model. Prior to AlphaSense, Prashant worked as a Graduate Research Assistant at Carnegie Mellon University, contributing to industry and occupation autocoding using RNNs and serving as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. Additionally, experience at the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi involved developing algorithms for noise reduction in temporal DCE-MRI data. Prashant holds a Master of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
